More train pain is coming to the east Bronx.
Two more No. 6 line stations are set to shut down for seven months for city repairs.
Both the Zerega Avenue and Buhre Avenue stops will close in both directions at 12:01 am on Sat. July 5, and remain closed until February 2015, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Riders who normally use Buhre Avenue can take the Bx8 or Bx24 bus south on Westchester Avenue to get to the No. 6 Middletown Road station. Straphangers who normally take Zerega Avenue can use the Bx4 bus to travel south to the Castle Hill stop, or north to the Westchester Avenue-E. Tremont stop.
Riders can then hop on the train with a free MetroCard transfer.
During late-night hours, the MTA is providing a free shuttle along the No. 6 line between Castle Hill and Buhre avenues. The buses will arrive approximately every 20 minutes between those stations from midnight to 5 am.
The city is renovating the Buhre and Zerega avenue stops as part of an ongoing $109 million repair project. The MTA plans to replace the station platforms, renew the mezzanines, and spruce up the stairs leading to the street.
