An organization serving people with developmental disabilities is no longer looking to place a group home in the Van Nest neighborhood, as previously reported by the Bronx Times.
Unique People Services, who had presented the idea to house four women with disabilities at 620 Baker Avenue to Community Board 11, is not pursuing the purchase of the property, according to an email from CB 11 district manager Jeremy Warneke.
The public hearing regarding the issue has been cancelled.
