The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore hosted their 9th annual “Stomp Out Sarcoma” walk in Van Cortlandt Park sponsored by the Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative, on Saturday, July 19. More than 200 people attended the event which also included arts and crafts, and speeches from sarcoma survivors.

The goal of the event was to help raise awareness and educate patients and families about sarcoma, an aggressive cancer common in children that attacks bone and soft tissue in arms and legs.
