The Mall at Bay Plaza officially opened to the public on Thursday, August 14. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by elected officials including Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., Councilmember Andy King, Assemblyman Michael Benedetto and Senator Ruth Hassell-Thompson. After the ceremony, thousands flocked into the mall to check out the new stores, with many offering grand opening sales.
Crowds lined up outside the mall, eagerly awaiting the opening.
