On Sunday, October 5, Bronxites became involved in Claremont Park Day while Chestnut Holdings aligned with The Bronx is Blooming and the NYC Department of Parks and Rec to help restore and beautify the park in a joint effort. Around 100 volunteers were in attendance and enjoyed a successful day of bulb planting, tree stewardship, flowerbed restoration, and many community based activities such as a free health screening, library card enrollment, and family friendly fun including face painting and bird handling.
