On Thursday, November 6, the Salvation Army’s brand new 9,000-square foot Family Thrift Store and Donation Center celebrated its grand opening ceremony in Melrose.
The new store, located on 356 E. 149th Street, is designed to improve customer’s shopping experience with help from a friendly staff in addition to providing shoppers with affordably-priced clothing, electronics, furniture, and household items. Proceeds from these stores are utilized to support the charity’s local residential rehabilitation center. All services are free of charge.
