For college students pursuing an online degree in the rapidly growing field of Social Work, Fordham University just might be the perfect site – website that is – to foster their educational desires.

Recently, Onlin‌eU.org – a website dedicated to highlighting colleges offering low-cost degrees – ranked Fordham University number 4 in the 2015 Best Value Online College Social Work Degrees at an annual tuition of just over $15,000.

Fordham University’s MSW degree is a part-time program with a clinical concentration accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. The online degrees are a part of the Graduate School of Social Service, which has been educating its students for nearly 100 years.

The independent, private and prestigious Fordham University which was established in 1841 and whose main Rose Hill campus is located on 441 East Fordham Road, offers over 50 major programs and over 40 minor programs in its academic curriculum.

The university also offers an Advanced Standing Option, which is available to transfer students who have demonstrated achievements in academics and have relevant experience in their particular field.

This list of the 2015 Best Value Online College Social Work Degrees is another example of how OnlineU believes in accessibility, affordability and quality for all college students. Considering the fact that student debt has continued to rise nationwide, OnlineU is very aware that the main perception of a quality education is viewed as too expensive.

“We completed extensive research into the cost of attending different online colleges and then analyzed the outcome-based statistics to find the best value online college degrees,” said Kimberly Wetter, who works at SR Education Group, an education publishing company closely affiliated with OnlineU that also focuses on creating authoritative online education and career-related resources.

It is OnlineU’s mission that makes this list so important – it helps change the college student’s perspective that all college degrees are unaffordable by helping them focus on school’s offering high value degrees at a reasonable cost.

“With the average price of college skyrocketing and forcing many students to rely on student loans to fund their education, we were impressed with Fordham University and their ability to continue to offer quality degrees at a reasonable price,” said Wetter.

Fordham University’s Social Work Degree ranked behind St. Leo University in Florida, University of North Dakota and Boston University.
