Rotary Club News
Thanksgiving was an uplifting time for the Rotary Club of the Bronx whose members packed 20 complete dinners for needy families in the borough, including turkey, during their bi-weekly meeting on Tuesday, November 25. The club is very grateful to the manager of Pathmark on Eastchester Road who decreased the bill by $400 when he learned about the organization’s efforts. The group is also grateful for Sammy’s Shrimp Box on City Island, where they meet every other Tuesday, for their assistance and patience during the packing process. The Rotary Club of the Bronx sends a special thank you to Michael LaSalle of Hudson Valley Bank who raised $720 from his clientele that greatly offset the cost of the effort. Bill Gouldman and Lilyanna Pekic did all of the shopping for the meals.
Magnarelli Anniversary
Maria and Nazzareno Magnarelli celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Monday, August 18. They were married in 1974 at Santa Maria Church in the Zerega. They have two children, Maria Maddalena Magnarelli and Gerardo Christopher Magnarelli. Family and friends wished them all the happiness in the world at a surprise anniversary party on Saturday, November 8.
