On Saturday, May 9, the Southern Boulevard Business Improvement District partnered with Marketing & Advertising Solutions Inc. in presenting ‘Salsa in the Park’, a Mother’s Day weekend special at Monsignor Raul Del Valle Square. This event promoted local shopping and raised awareness of new local businesses such as the Children’s Place, Rainbow, Sesinko clothing store, and many others. Highlights of this weekend event included modern musical and classical performances by Gilberto Colon, Jr. with ‘Ensalada de Pulpo’ and Julian Vasquez’s ‘El Diamante De Salsa’ with his orchestra and former all-star Fania members.
