On Saturday, May 9, the 161st Street Business Improvement District sponsored its 4th annual Stadium Street Fair across from Yankee Stadium and saw visits from Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, Councilwoman Vanessa Gibson, Congressman Jose Serrano, and approximately 25,000 fairgoers. As a special treat for Bronx Bomber fans, 161st Street BID sold post cards depicting their Mickey Mantle, Derek Jeter, and Mariano Rivera murals at this Bronx Week fair with all funds going towards the Bronx Stadium Gardens and more neighborhood art projects.
