FreshDirect Wines & Spirits held a celebration to announce it will be distributing the locally distilled Pitorro rum liquor brand, a traditional Puerto Rican beverage, that it is produced by the local Port Morris Distillery. It is part of Fresh Direct’s ongoing strategy to promote Bronx products, according to the company. Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. and Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation officials were present for the event.
