Boils and ghouls of every age joined in the Halloween spirit at Saturday, October 24’s 3rd Annual Allerton Halloween Parade for a scary fun time. Presented by Senator Jeff Klein, Councilman James Vacca, Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj, Pelham Parkway Neighborhood Association, the White Plains Road Business Improvement District and the Allerton Avenue International Merchants Association, the yearly event began with a parade forming outside of Farenga Brothers Funeral Home before marching throughout the neighborhood. Merchants from Wiliamsbridge Road to White Plains Road waited outside to hand out candy to the costumed parade participants and residents joined in handing out treats at Bronxwood Avenue as the parade continued to Pelham Parkway. Following this enjoyable neighborhood trek, everyone was invited to a Halloween party held at P.S. 105 to celebrate another successful Halloween parade.
