On Sunday, November 8, the 31st annual Throggs Neck Veterans Day Parade held to celebrate the national holiday that takes place on Wednesday, November 11. The parade, which started at East Tremont and Lafayette avenues and ended at Bicentennial Veterans Memorial Park, was attended by local groups and organizations including the Waterbury-LaSalle Community Association, the Country Club Civic Association and the Locust Point Civic Association, among others. Lieutenant Colonel Floyd Carter was the honorary grand marshal of the parade.
