First graders at Villa Maria Academy remembered the 15th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks with several special guests including 45th Precinct officers Rubio, Carter and Caro; Michelle Dolgow-Cristofario from Senator Jeff Klein’s office; first responders John Griffin, Chris Hall, Carlos Felipe, Sarah Rivera, Vincenzo Valenza and NYPD assistant chief Edward Delatorre.

The children presented greeting cards and cookie platters they made for their guests to bring back to their precincts and fire houses as a sign of gratitude.

Assistant chief Delatorre brought his gift to One Police Plaza and presented them to police commissioner Bill Bratton who enjoyed them during the remaining days of his administration.

Former NYC police commissioner Bill Bratton was ecstatic to receive the students’ gifts.
