The NYC Commission on Human Rights, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, hosted the inaugural African Community Forum and Resource Fair on Thursday, May 11 at the Metropolitan College of New York.

At the fair, representatives from the Commission, the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, NYC Comptroller’s Office and more than 20 community-based organizations and city agencies provided information on government resources and legal protections to African immigrants, many of whom may have experienced discrimination based on their immigration status, national origin or religion.
