2 Injured In Burger King Collision

A motorist and pedestrian are recovering following a recent accident in Parkchester.

According to the 43rd Precinct, police responded to a call of a car crashing into a Burger King on Tuesday, March 27 around 4 p.m. at 60 Metropolitan Oval. The driver stated to police that while she was attempting to park she stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake and backed into the restaurant. The driver, whose identity was not disclosed, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police said a pedestrian who was walking on the sidewalk at the time of the incident was injured and taken to a hospital for treatment. The driver was alone in the vehicle. She was not arrested or charged following the incident. The restaurant’s building sustained glass and structural damage. No employees or customers were injured. Photo by Edwin Soto
