BB Gunman Injures Police Officer & Woman

Police are investigating the BB gun shooting of a police officer and woman in Mott Haven. According to police, on Tuesday, August 15 at around 10:30 p.m. police officers and EMS workers were helping a 61-year-old woman who had been shot in her right hand with a BB at 300 E. 138th Street. Suddenly, the first responders came under fire from a BB gun. An officer was shot in the forearm by a BB and was treated at the scene. The woman was taken to Lincoln Hospital for treatment.
