The Bronx Zoo is celebrating wildlife and the Boogie Down Bronx’s diverse culture with a series of springtime events called ‘Boogie Down at the Bronx Zoo.’ The one-of-a-kind event’s opening day was held on Saturday, April 21 and featured live musical performances by many famous hip hop legends, break-dancing, world-class DJs and workshops teaching how to ‘scratch’ records and create an 8-meter rhyme. The cultural celebration will be held on weekends starting Saturday, May 5 through Sunday, June 3.
