Bronx H.I.R.E. domestic violence survivors graduate

Senator Jeff Klein, Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr, and Bronx Chamber of Commerce officers celebrated the graduation of the first class of women enrolled in the Bronx H.I.R.E. Domestic Violence Survivors Job Readiness and Internship Program on Thursday, November 13. The graduation marks the first step in securing domestic violence survivors good jobs that will lead them on a path to financial independence. The women took part in a six-week job training program that helped them to hone their skills at typing, resume writing, interviewing, Microsoft Office, and Quickbooks.
