The Bronx Music Heritage Center presented a special event honoring Indian and Caribbean culture on Saturday, April 5, at the Bronx Library Center, located at 310 E. Kingsbridge Rd.

Bharati Sukul Kemraj, founder of The Bharati Foundation—which serves both the Hindu and broader Bronx community—offered attendees of “A Taste of Indian and Caribbean Culture” an immersive experience into South Asian and Indo-Caribbean traditions through vibrant storytelling, energetic Bollywood dance, and intricate mandala art.

Everyday cultural and religious themes from these regions were explored, including Bollywood and Hinduism. At the same time, the event spotlighted the rich diversity within the borough.
