Birding with New York City Audubon: 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at Van Cortlandt Park

Catch a glimpse of Van Cortlandt Park’s native bird population, and explore the ecologically diverse grounds alongside an NYC Audubon guide. Interested attendees must register in advance here.

Carnival and Amusement Event: 2 p.m.-11 p.m. at Bruckner Commons

Kick off spring with a fun-filled day for the whole family. Enjoy rides, games, food and drinks at a carnival at Bruckner Commons. The event flier can be found here, shared by Hunts Point Community Partnership.

Beer and Build Night: 1 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Bronx Brewery

Grab a drink and enjoy an afternoon of fun and games at the Bronx Brewery. Play Nintendo Switch games, build Gundam Planet model kits and browse a collection of anime and collectibles for sale from NewtownHQ. Food will also be available for purchase. The first 40 people to buy a ticket will get a free beer, so don’t wait — tickets are $15 and can be purchased here.

Women’s History Month Trolley Tour: 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery

Take a guided tour through the Woodlawn Cemetery, and pay your respects to women who paved the way. Visit the gravesites of impactful women such as “Queen of Salsa” Celia Cruz, America’s first self-made female millionaire, Madam C.J. Walker, and America’s first investigative reporter Nellie Bly. Tickets can be purchased here for $25, or at a discounted price for seniors, students and members.

Malevo: Argentine Dance: 4 p.m. at the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts

Sit back, relax and enjoy an evening celebrating Argentine culture with the all-male dance group Malevo. Malevo, named an official “Cultural Ambassador to the National Identity of Argentina,” and an “America’s Got Talent” semifinalist, specializes in Malambo, a traditional Argentine folk dance.
