Marvel Comics: Black Panther Art Exhibition

Stop by Poe Park to see a display featuring the original Black Panther comic book art, including the contributions of famed comic writer and artist Jack Kirby. Information on the exhibition can be found here.

The Van Cortlandt Super Hike: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Van Cortlandt Park

Journey through the woods of Van Cortlandt Park, guided by the Urban Park Rangers. Hikers will learn about New York’s diverse environments over the course of this vigorous eight-mile hike. Interested participants can find more information here.

Culture Pass Presents: La Clave the Key — A Musical Journey from Africa to the (so-called) New World: 1 p.m.-2 p.m. at the Bronx Library Center

Take a musical journey with artist and educator Bobby Sanabria, and learn how popular music from the Caribbean, Latin America and the United States can trace its roots to Africa. Free and fit for all ages, interested participants are encouraged to register here.

Family Time: Heart of the Bronx: 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Bronx Museum

Bring the whole family on a trip to the Bronx Museum this weekend, and make art together inspired by current exhibits celebrating New York City. Both admission and the event are free, but attendees should register in advance of the event here.
