Salsa Pa’ La Cultura

The Salsa Project and License to Love host this year’s Salsa Pa’ La Cultura concert summer series with performances the last Friday of every month from May through August. This Friday’s event will feature Puerto Rican singer and flautist Jeremy Bosch and his orchestra along with a live DJ. This summer salsa celebration will be held at the Bronx Brewery.

Cycling through Hudson River

9 a.m.to 5 p.m.

Calling all bikers! Neverwinter Free Hiking and Cycling will host a cycling group this Saturday. Bikers will pedal 46 miles through New York and Connecticut via Yonkers and Henry Hudson Dr. Though the route is environment friendly and paved, the journey is not recommended for rookie cyclists due to the proposed total distance of the trip. The cycling trip will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Burger King on 6007 Broadway.

Bronx is Blooming invites volunteers to Soundview Park for a morning of family-friendly environmental work. Volunteers will learn about the local climate and environment while working on the land. Attendees will have the opportunity to remove invasive plant species, plant trees and shrubs, and contribute to improving the ecological health of Soundview. Get your hands dirty and discover the methods of environmental revitalization with Bronx is Blooming!

Join Bronx Summer Jam for its third year of celebrating the musical talents of Bronx jammers. This music festival will feature performances on two stages, Kings Stage and Sirens Stage, from Bronx-bred hip hop artist Richard Pigkaso, Latin hip hop artist Ray Pearson, DJ HasCan, and more. The event, created by grassroots event production brand Sirens & Kings, will be held at Bronx Park East.

Jazz at Edgehill: The Rale Micic and Abe Rabade Duo

Serbian guitarist Rale Micic and Galician pianist Abe Rabade will perform at Edgehill this Sunday. Rabade and Micic will perform original music inspired by Galician and Balkan jazz melodies. The duo, who joined forces in 2015, has performed on impressive stages like Carnegie Hall, Blue Note New York, Ibiza Jazz Festival, and more. Join for an evening of eclectic tunes crafted by the acclaimed jazz musicians.
