Children spending the summer days hospitalized at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore enjoyed the annual luau coordinated by the Child Life Department on Thursday, July 27.
The event brought inpatients from various units together to do Hawaiian-themed arts and crafts and participate in a traditional hula performance and lesson from Aloha Hula NYC.
Children enjoyed music and face painting courtesy of enCourage Kids, a foundation dedicated to creating carefree environments and experiences to help children through their medical journeys.
