Councilman Ruben Diaz, Sr. and local religious leaders joined residents for a rally in opposition to a proposed single mens shelter at 2008 Westchester Avenue on Thursday, April 25. The proposed 165-men looking-for-work shelter will be located in close proximity of two schools and a library. The operator of the proposed shelter would be Samaritan Village.
