Developers are set to open a new 200-unit apartment building in Mott Haven this week — the latest in a long line of developments to come to the South Bronx neighborhood.

RXR, a Long Island-based development company, will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. on Oct. 19 at the building called Maven, which is located at 2413 3rd Ave.

The 27-story building will have 60 rent-stabilized apartments for middle-income households out of the total 200 new units. The tower will also feature an immersive art gallery by local and international artists, according to RXR, as well as 81 enclosed parking spaces and electric vehicle charging stations on site.

It’s one of the latest housing development projects to make its way to the Bronx.

Just this fall, a $91 million 188-unit mixed-use apartment complex along Webster Avenue in Bedford Park opened to New Yorkers 62 and older. That building also came with a Cherry Valley Marketplace and New York Botanical Garden membership.

And around the same time, the New York City Council approved a project to build a $500 million development along the Bronx River in Crotona Park East that would sport 1,000 residential units.

The neighborhood of Mott Haven, which lies at the southernmost end of the South Bronx, has seen an increase in development — and what some suggest is gentrification — in recent years. That’s mostly likely because it’s one of the last waterfront communities in New York City that remains relatively untapped.

The Maven building will be RXR’s first Bronx development, the company said. RXR officials, including the president of the company, are scheduled to speak at the ribbon cutting next week.

Correction: A previous version of this story stated the incorrect date of the ribbon cutting event.
