Duo beats, robs man after asking where he worked in Hunts Point

Police are looking for two men that are behind an assault and robbery in Hunts Point earlier this month.

That duo was walking near a warehouse at 1345 Spofford Ave. when they stopped the 38-year-old male victim to ask him if he worked at a particular store at about 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, according to the NYPD.

The victim responded and the two struck him in the head, which caused the 38-year-old to fall to the ground.

Afterwards, they removed the man’s cell phone and fled the scene in unknown direction.

The victim sustained a laceration to the head and was was given “several stitches” for his injuries at Lincoln Hospital, police reports indicate.

The NYPD released this video of the two suspects.
