The Garden of Dreams Foundation and the New York Liberty hosted a barbecue with Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corporation families on Thursday, August 18 at 1220 Gerard Avenue. New York Liberty’s starting center Carolyn Swords was presented with the July Women’s National Basketball Association Cares Community Assistance Award at the celebration. Swords donated the money she received from the award to support Garden of Dreams and Tina Charles’ Hopey’s Heart Foundation.
