The first snowstorm of the new year brought with it high winds that threatened to knock down a scaffolding at 2912 Jerome Avenue on Thursday, January 4 at 9:30 p.m. NYPD and FDNY members were on the scene and blocked off traffic from Minerva Place to East 199th Street. Firefighters were successful in securing the scaffolding to the building. No injuries or damage were reported from this incident.
