Elmo Hope, one of the forerunners of the Be-Bop style of Jazz, was honored in a sign co-naming ceremony on Saturday, September 10 at Lyman Place now known as ‘Elmo Hope Way-Jazz pioneer’. A jazz pianist, composer and arranger, Hope passed away from a heart attack on May 19, 1967.
