Senator Jeff Klein honored St. Catharine Academy’s junior varsity cheerleading squad last Friday, April 8, presenting the team with a proclamation recognizing their achievement and dedication. Students Abbygayle Clark, Angelena Cancel, Kasandra Padua, Cindy Mejia, Alexis Daniels, Kristin Markgraf, Amanda Turner, Alene Ortiz, Grace Rios, Serna Colon, Briana Colon, Brianna Franco and Keyana Brown ranked first in the non-tumbling division making history in the 2016 Universal Cheerleading Association National High School Cheerleading Championship.
