Multi-Grammy award-winning Living Colour drummer Will Calhoun rocked out at a public drum rehearsal on Thursday, May 30 at the National Museum of Mathematics.

Calhoun, a Bronx native, was practicing in preparation for RhythMatics performance event with Stephon Alexander on Friday, May 31 at MoMath.

RhythMatics is a free, public event for people of all ages featuring legendary drummer, Will Calhoun, and mathematical physicist and musician, Stephon Alexander.

Besides rocking out to cool mathematical rhythms, Calhoun and Alexander discussed and demonstrated the geometry, space and time, and numbers found in rock and roll and hip-hop music while collaborating with the audience to create an original hip-hop beat using new ideas that relate mathematics to rhythm.
