On the morning of Monday, June 24, Councilman Andy King joined students from M.S. 181’s Art Club to cut the ribbon on a mural completed this spring as part of a collaborative program with the Lehman College Art Gallery. King secured $20,000 in City Council funding for Lehman College to facilitate the program, as part of the Council’s Cultural After-school Adventure initiative.

Councilman King (4th from r) joined M.S. 181 principal Christopher Warnock (r), teaching artist Valeria Haedo (l) and the Art Club members who created the mural.
