Police are searching for a man that spit on, cursed at, and attempted to assault an MTA bus driver in Soundview earlier this month.

According to NYPD reports, the man was denied entry to a Bx27 bus while it was making a u-turn on the corner of Soundview and Cornell Avenues at 12:55 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5.

The man went on a tirade, cursing and spitting at the 64-year-old female bus driver and then swung a stick at her “in an attempt to strike the operator through the window,” police said.

He fled in a unknown direction and the operator was not injured as a result of this incident, the NYPD confirmed.
