Police are investigating the mysterious murder of a man on his birthday. According to the NYPD, an unidentified 42-year-old man was found fatally stabbed on Monday, January 2 inside his fifth-floor apartment at 1291 Hoe Avenue at around 5 a.m. The man was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital with stab wounds to his head and chest, but succumbed to his injuries. Neighbors claim they heard an argument between a man and woman prior to the stabbing. Police said the incident marks the first Bronx homicide of 2017.
