Assemblymember Michael Benedetto announced two visits from the MetroCard Mobile Van in the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx this March. The next visit from the van will be on the fourth Friday of the month, March 24. It will be parked at 3035 Middletown Road from 1-3 p.m.

The MetroCard Mobile Van makes MTA services accessible to senior citizens aged 65 or older, who can apply for a Reduced-Fare MetroCard at one of these locations with proof of age and valid photo identification. The van also provides services to New Yorkers with disabilities, who qualify for a Reduced-Fare MetroCard as long as they present a Medicare card and valid photo ID. Those who apply at the mobile van receive a temporary card on the spot.

Existing Reduced-Fare MetroCard holders will also be able to add money to their cards at these mobile vans and receive answers to any card-related questions they have.
