A street co-naming ceremony was held in honor of Michele Muccio, a beloved Cardinal Spellman High School cheerleading coach and community volunteer, on Saturday, April 6 at St. Theresa and Edison avenues. The intersection was renamed ‘Michele Muccio Way’ in her memory. Muccio, a Pelham Bay mother of three, died when another vehicle cut her off as she was travelling southbound on I-95 near Co-op City and lost control of her SUV in March 2018.
