The 29th Annual Joan H. Bilder Award at Montefiore Health System was presented to Veronica Butt, RN, on Thursday, May 12.The awards ceremony celebrated Nurses Week. Butt’s impressive career included the following accomplishments: developing projects for preventing unplanned extubation in the Intensive Care Unit, measures to prevent and minimize delirium in the ICU and improving patients’ comfort by improving nurse response time to the ‘Call Bell’ system.
