Many Summer Power Academy campers enjoyed some much needed fun in the sun this season. Over 700 campers from New York City Mission Society’s Summer Power Academy Summer programs took to the field at Van Cortlandt Park to compete in the time honored ‘Olympic Day’ on Thursday, August 9. The annual event designed to let campers display their knowledge and physical prowess featured field events; team-building exercises and health, fitness and nutrition activities.
Students were hopping with excitement as they participated in the Potato Sack Relay.
