In honor of its 185th anniversary, the New York Institute for Special Education held its annual open house on Saturday, June 4 offering the public a rare opportunity to learn about its legacy as one of the nation’s oldest and most respected schools providing specialized services for children with disabilities. The event featured family fun activities, a student art show, campus and museum tours and sports demonstrations.
