NYPL for The Performing Arts Celebrates 50 Years

Councilman Andy King, who sits as the chair of the cities subcommittee on libraries, attended The New York Public Library for The Performing Arts’ 50th Anniversary Gala. The event took place at The New York Public Library – Stephen A. Schwarzman Building in midtown Manhattan on February 1. The NYPL for the Performing Arts is home to one of the most extensive collections of items in it’s field, and is recognized for its vast collections of non-book materials such as recordings, videotapes, mauscripts, and photographs. The 50th Anniversary celebration honored long time supporters of the arts.
