Natracare, the creator of the only globally-available compostable period products, along with community partner GreenFeen OrganiX, an NYC-based company focused on environmental justice and waste equity in the South Bronx, hosted a composting event at GreenFeen OrganiX Garden in north Longwood on Friday. Representatives from the participating organizations provided free period products for the community as well as education on the benefits of composting, especially composting period products.

This event was part of Natracare’s Project #BeKind campaign, which is a habit-improving campaign focused on educating and inspiring consumers to choose 100% organic, chemical-free, plastic-free and biodegradable products, while also making a broader commitment to composting, recycling and reducing our overall carbon footprint.

GreenFeen OrganiX is a women-led, worker-owned cooperative. Focusing on environmental justice and waste equity in the South Bronx, the current compost service not only collects but also processes food scraps locally.
Building on their brand’s organic period revolution — and starting with International Composting Week 2023 — Natracare is educating and empowering people to join them through a pledge to be kind to the body and the planet. GreenFeen OrganiX is a women-led, worker-owned cooperative.
