Permits have been filed for the construction of a 12-story mixed-use building featuring 76 residential units at 101 E. Kingsbridge Rd. in the Kingsbridge neighborhood of the Bronx.
The proposed building would be 120 feet tall and yield a total of 48,095 square feet, with 47,952 designated for residential space and 143 square feet designated for commercial space. With an average unit scope of 630 square feet, the residences will most likely be rentals.
In addition to the residences and the commercial area, another planned feature for the building is a cellar. There are also bus stops nearby for the Bx1, Bx2, BxM4, Bx9, Bx22, Bx28 and Bx38 lines. Additionally, P.S. 246 Poe Center is situated in the area.
The owner of the building applications is Moses Freund of the Vaja Group. The listed architect of record is S. Wieder Architect.
Demolition permits were already filed in March to take down the existing structure at 101 E. Kingsbridge Rd. An estimated date has not yet been given for construction of the new building to be completed.
