Regional Aid For Interim Needs (R.A.I.N.), a major senior-service non-profit, celebrated 50 years of service to the community at its annual gala on Thursday, October 30. Honorees included Dolores Hope, recipient of Bea Castiglia humanitarian award, posthumous recognition; Senator Jeff Klein, government service award; Dr. Ramon Tallaj, community health leader award; and Thaddeus Taberski, public service award.

The special event also marked the 98th birthday of R.A.I.N. founder Bea Castiglia-Catullo, who also received an award from the American Association of Retired Persons. The master of ceremonies for the event was news anchor Darlene Rodriguez.
