In honor of the vernal season, the Friends of Pelham Bay Park hosted its ‘Riviera Renaissance: Friends of Pelham Bay Park Spring Fundraiser’ on Thursday, April 19 at Pelham Split Rock Golf Course’s club house. This year’s honorees were Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. for spearheading efforts to restore the historic Orchard Beach Pavilion and Michael Max Knobbe, BronxNet executive director, for enthusiastically promoting Orchard Beach’s uniqueness.
