Three shootings in different areas of the Bronx on Monday yielded three deaths and zero arrests, according to the NYPD.

The first report was called in at around noon on Monday.

Officers from the 47th Precinct responded to a 911 call of a man shot inside of a bodega at 4052 White Plains Road in the Wakefield section. The deli is tucked under the White Plains Road 2 and 5 subway tracks, and is surrounded by different beauty and convenience stores.

Cops responded to the scene to find a 48-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the back. He was then transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead. According to the NYPD, the agency is withholding the man’s identity until they notify his next of kin.

A few hours later, north of Longwood, cops from the 42nd Precinct responded to a call of a man shot in front of 1417 Longfellow Ave.

According to the investigation, Alexander House was approached by an unidentified man at the location, who displayed his firearm before discharging rounds and striking House. The 27-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the head and later died at St. Barnabas Hospital.

Then after 11 p.m. police responded to a third call of a man shot, this time in Longwood.

The 41st Precinct squad arrived to the scene at 976 Simpson St. to find Kevin Roberts, 56, unconscious and unresponsive at the location with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. Roberts was later pronounced dead at NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi.

Cops hadn’t arrested suspects for any of the three homicides as of Tuesday.

The triple fatal shootings come on the heels of a bloody weekend, wherein two people died in separate gun violence incidents in the Bronx on Saturday. Both men who were shot and killed over the weekend — Miguel Molina and Isiah Johnson — were only in their 20s.

There have been at least 34 homicidal shootings within Bronx precincts so far this year, according to dispatch reports released by the NYPD.

But even so, shooting incidents continue on a downward trend. From Jan. 1, 2022 to June 20, 2022, there were 554 shooting incidents. But from Jan. 1 of this year through Tuesday, that number dropped to 412, representing a 25.6% decrease in the year-to-date metrics.
