Last month, the basketball teams from Castle Hill Middle School and the Bronx High School for Teaching and the Professions captured the top honors in the 3X3 Student Basketball Tournament, the largest three-on-three basketball tournament in New York City, which saw close to 1,000 public school students from the city. Both the boys and girls teams from Castle Hill Middle School won first place for the middle school division, while the Bronx High School for Teaching and the Professions won first place for the high school division. The tournament, which was held at Aviator Sports in Brooklyn and Hooperstown in Mount Vernon, was run by the Council Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation, who hosted the event for the tenth year.
