Two men sought for Nereid Avenue subway station robbery

Two men are wanted for robbing a young man and woman at the Nereid Avenue 2 and 5 train subway station earlier this month.

The NYPD reported that an 18-year-old woman and 20-year-old man were exiting the train at its northeast corner by White Plains Road, when one man displayed a boxcutter while the other began robbing the man and woman at about 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.

That second man took the victims’ iPhones, AirPods and $80 in cash before fleeing on food towards 237th Street, neither victim reported injuries during the robbery.

Police describe the first suspect as 18 to 20 years old, dark complexion, 160 pounds, with a slim build, standing at approximately 5 foot six inches tall with short dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black t-shirt with a multi-colored graphic on the front, light colored jeans, white sneakers and a surgical mask.

The second suspect is described as 18 to 20 years old, dark complexion, 160 pounds, with a slim build, standing at approximately 5 foot 9 inches tall with short dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black t-shirt, black sweatpants, black  sneakers and a surgical mask.
