Woman Shot On Bronxwood Avenue

A woman is recovering after being shot in Pelham Parkway North last week. According to police, a 58-year-old woman was shot in her right shoulder on Wednesday, May 24 at 5 p.m. between Bronxwood Avenue and Pelham Parkway North. The woman, whose name has not been released, is in serious, but stable condition at Jacobi Medical Center. She reported hearing gun shots before being struck and did not see the gunman. According to authorities, there were witnesses and NYCHA surveillance cameras at the location. Both sources are currently under investigation by the 49th Precinct. No motive has yet been determined for the shooting.
